According to a report from People magazine, the Archewell Foundation has been ordered to halt soliciting, spending, or disbursing funds.
The action seems to be related to a missed deadline for registration fees.
People reports that Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a delinquency notice on behalf of the Registry of Charities and Fundraisers.
According to legal documents obtained by the outlet, the Archewell Foundation is “listed as delinquent with the Registry of Charities and Fundraisers for failing to submit required annual report(s) and/or renewal fees.”
“An organization that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing, reads a notice issued by the state.
“And is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds.”
“The organization may also be subject to penalties. And its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry,” the letter continues.
“Once you submit the delinquent record(s), you will be notified of the amount of any late fees that are owed.”
A source close to the situation tells People that the organization filed on time. However, it seems a check that was mailed to the state was never received.
Meghan and Harry were in Nigeria this week and, thus, unable to attend to the matter personally.
The insider says that Archewell administrators were not aware that the payment had gone missing. Consequently, they only became aware of the issue when they received a delinquency notice.
According to the source, a new check has been mailed, and Archewell will soon be up and running once again.
Understandably, Harry and Meghan have not spoken publicly on the matter.
And it seems the couple is content to let their administrators handle this situation.
Undoubtedly, this is just a minor bump in the road for an organization that’s done a great deal of good work.

A judge ruled this week that music legend Brian Wilson should be placed under a conservatorship due to a “major neurocognitive disorder.”
The legendary singer-songwriter will now enter a guardianship controlled by his manager LeeAnn Hard and publicist Jean Sievers.
According to a report from USA Today, Wilson did not object to the ruling.
Best known for his work with the Beach Boys, Wilson, 81, has been battling dementia for several years.
In January, his wife, Melinda Wilson, passed away suddenly at the age of 77.
The situation left Brian in need of a caretaker. And thankfully, it sounds like he will now receive the help that he needs.
“The court finds from clear and convincing evidence that a conservatorship of the person is necessary and appropriate in that (Wilson) is unable to care for (his) person,” Judge Gus T. May wrote in Thursday’s ruling.
“The conservatorship is the least restrictive alternative needed for the protection of conservatee.”
May added that Hard and Sievers have been granted the authority to “authorize the administration of medications appropriate for the care and treatment”
Wilson has not made any sort of public statement since he paid tribute to his wife shortly after she passed.
“Our five children and I are just in tears. We are lost,” Wilson wrote on his website at the time.
“Melinda was more than my wife. She was my savior. She gave me the emotional security I needed to have a career,” he continued.
“[Melinda] encouraged me to make the music that was closest to my heart. She was my anchor. She was everything for us. Please say a prayer for her.”
Wilson’s struggles with mental health and his relationship with Melinda were portrayed in the 2014 biopic Love & Mercy.
The legal battle over Britney Spears’ conservatorship raised the public’s awareness about such arrangements.
Obviously, in that case, the guardianship was not in Britney’s best interest. And the people who seized control of her life abused their power.

Prince Harry won’t be visiting with his ailing father King Charles on his trip to the UK this week.

Apparently, the King is too busy to make time for his youngest son.

When King Charles announced he was battling cancer in February, Harry was on a plane from America to visit his father within the week. Their visit was brief, with Harry staying a mere 24 hours in the country before leaving.
On May 8, Harry returns to his country of birth to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
It seemed the perfect opportunity to reconnect with his royal family, as he has no see his father since his last trip and has not traveled to the U.K. since Kate Middleton annonced her own cancer diagnosis.
However, it sounds like no one has time for Harry right now – literally.
“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” a spokesperson for Harry told The Post ahead of Harry’s visit.
The King’s schedule includes his weekly audience with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as well as the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the season.
It’s really a shame to hear Harry won’t be seeing his dad, given the state of his health. Harry could also have used some family time, since he made the trek to London alone.
Meghan Markle and their two young kids, Archie and Lilibeth, stayed behind in California.
Still, Harry is trying to save face.
“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
As for Harry’s commitments, he’s expected to give a reading at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 to mark the inaugural Invictus Games took place a decade earlier. He will stay, as he did before, in a hotel, rather than a royal residence.
Prince Harry will also not be seeing his brother Prince William and Kate Middleton on this trip. He has not seen his only brother and that side of the family for over a year, as tensions remain high between the two families.
Besides, it’s clear that Kate and William are going through it right now and extra drama is kind of the last thing they need.
A few days before Harry’s arrival, designer Amaia Arrieta made some seemingly offhand remarks about the royal couple while speaking to the Daily Telegraph.
“I’m heartbroken at the moment,” Arrieta expressed. “I think they are going through hell.”
Arrieta added: “I hope they will be back. It’s really personal.”
Most infer that Arrieta is referring to the state of the Prince and Princess of Wales as the latter undergoes cancer treatments.
In January, surgeons uncovered signs of cancer in Kate’s abdomen. Despite her status as a taxpayer-funded national symbol, many details of her diagnosis remain secret. For months, the royal firm concealed her cancer altogether, claiming that she was simply recovering from surgery.
Now, thanks in part to a colossal PR blunder by the royals, everyone knows about Kate’s condition. Like her father-in-law, she has cancer but aims to make a full recovery. We hope that she does.
Some have interpreted Arrieta’s statement as a reference to William and Kate experiencing marital problems.
From the Prince of Pegging’s alleged affairs to the alarming statistics on men leaving cancer-stricken wives, there has been a lot of speculation over the state of their royal marriage.
It is possible that Kate’s cancer diagnosis has brought other marital issues to the forefront, or at least coincided with them. Occam’s Razor, however, suggests that Arrieta is referring to Kate’s cancer crisis. Surely, that is enough “hell” for anyone.
In general, Kensington Palace likes to keep a strict lid on any comments that anyone with access to the royal family might make to the press. Usually, that means that negative stories about Meghan Markle are fair game, but everything else must remain under seal.

That’s the claim being made by a shocking new report from In Touch.
Sources tell the outlet that Meghan’s stock has plummeted among her celebrity friends, due to her persistent efforts to build her personal brand.
“Meghan gets greedy,” an insider described as “a high-level palace courtier” tells In Touch.
“She wants everything all at once, and it’s backfiring on her again. She’s become a total joke and is overplaying her hand.”
The source notes that the duchess is currently attempting to roll out multiple projects at once.
Meghan recently launched her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which has already received endorsements from some of her A-list friends.
That project comes on the heels of Meghan and Prince Harry’s new Netflix deal.
And that was announced around the same time as Meghan’s podcasting deal with an outlet called Lemonada.
“That clearly didn’t go down well with Lemonada,” notes the palace insider.
“They surely expected to be Meghan’s priority project, but she must have decided she had bigger fish to fry with Netflix.”
The premiere of her Lemonada show has now been pushed back to 2025. And there’s a growing feeling that Meghan has overextended herself.
“Meghan’s new ventures are destined to fail. She has no experience in building a brand. And someone must tell her she needs to be more likable to be marketable,” says the palace source.
“If the public doesn’t like you, they won’t get behind you, and no amount of money you throw at the problem will make it go away,” the insider adds.
From there, the source accuses Meghan of being a “control freak” who harbors a desperate desire to be universally beloved.
“Meghan is a control freak who’s finding out you can’t order someone to like you. She should have learned that lesson during her disastrous time at the palace. But she’s too blinded by her own ambition to see it,” says the insider.
“No wonder people are laughing, on both sides of the Atlantic! We hear Harry’s laid down the law,” the source continues.
“He’s mortified by the blowback over their sketchy projects and is insisting he won’t tolerate another show business disaster. If the new projects go belly-up again, they are going to have to find new ways to pay their bills, including crawling back to the royal family.”
A Hollywood insider echoes these comments and alleges that Meghan wants to reap the rewards of a stellar Hollywood career without putting in the work.
“Hollywood is glam and glitz on the outside, but the real stars have worked hard for their success — and you get the impression hard work isn’t really Meghan’s thing,” the source tells In Touch.
“She was a nobody when she married Harry in 2018 but immediately thought she deserved a place at the A-listers’ table,” the insider adds.
“Now, after all her failures, those A-listers — and the royals — are laughing at her!”
Needless to say, Meghan Markle has been paying her dues for decades. And there many in LA, London, and all points between who view the duchess as anything but a “joke.”

Speaking to listeners of her “Misspelling” podcast on Tuesday, Spelling agreed with guest Sara Evans after the singer said she “would love to be pregnant again.”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum currently shares five children — Beau, 7, Finn, 11, Hattie, 12, and Stella, 15, and Liam, 17 — with McDermott.
In her aforementioned divorce filing, is asking for for sole physical and joint legal custody of these sons and daughters, with visitation time permitted for McDermott.
At one point on this podcast, Spelling jokingly asked Evans’ husband, Jay Barker, to “impregnate” them; at least we assume she was joking.
Later on, the mom of five later shared that having more kids is likely not in the cards.
“I’m totally in menopause, but I’m so bummed. I should have freezed [sic] my eggs,” Spelling said on air.
Back to her filing, meanwhile:
Spelling listed the date of the couple’s separation as June 17, 2013; and also cited ” irreconcilable differences” as the basis for their split.
To observers who have been following Spelling and McDermott’s relationship over the past few years, this filing dod not come as any sort surprise.
It was on the exact date written above that we first reported on Spelling and McDermott deciding to separate.
“It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own,” the Canadian actor wrote via Instagram statement last summer.

McDermott previously confessed to having cheated on Spelling, while the spouses struggled with their finances for years.

I cannot perform the processing on Google's server due to it not being powerful enough, and my tasks cannot be done on a headless OS.

Part of that is because of his famous wife, Gwen Stefani. But part of that is because of his longtime role as a coach on The Voice, starting with its premiere in 2011.
But Blake Shelton exited The Voice following Season 23. That means 23 consecutive seasons over 12 consecutive years.
On Sunday, April 21, Blake Shelton spoke to Extra TV to admit that he has no official plans to return to his coaching role.
“I don’t ever plan on working at The Voice again,” he said.
However, he also has not ruled anything out. In fact, he offered a tease for what the future may bring.
“Who knows?” Blake Shelton then mused about a possible The Voice comeback. “That’s me sitting here as I say that right now.”

“Because that’s kind of how I was starting to feel,” Shelton admitted. “If you’re on back-to-back seasons, there’s really no time for any other thing, you know?”

Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield revealed on the April 22 installment of Seeking Sister Wife that they welcomed a third child into their immediate family… a long time ago.
Daughter Leia Lilly Melisa Merrifield was born on May 17 of late year, the unusual couple has now confirmed, speaking with People Magazine about their latest addition.
“Leia is such a personality. She is very particular with what she likes and doesn’t like,” the Merrifields tell this publication.
“She makes us all laugh. She is super independent and has been since birth. I prayed she would have her daddy’s beautiful blue eyes and she does.”
Added Dannielle:
“Pregnancy at 35 is a lot harder than pregnancy at 20, for sure. I had some preterm contractions at about 19 weeks and was hospitalized to get things under control.
“It was super scary because I didn’t have any problems in my previous pregnancies with our boys.”
The Merrifields have starred for multiple seasons on Seeking Sister Wife.
Garrick has not always been the most popular cast member on this show, which centers on plural marriages and expanded family units.
He was dragged hard a few years ago after it certainly seemed as if he just wanted a second spouse so he could have sex with more than one woman.
“We decided two years ago that God wanted us to live a plural lifestyle,” Garrick said on the Seeking Sister Wife Season 3 premiere.
“We don’t come from a polygmous background, but we believe in the bible, and people in there had multiple wives.
“And I thought ‘Gee, the people in there are godly people and God loved them, so I then realized God wasn’t against that.”
Dannielle, however, has always seemed hesitant about sharing her husband.
After praying about it awhile back, she said on air that she “realized bringing a sister wife into mine and Garrick’s relationship means my children gain another mother figure, and I think we all gain a little more love in our lives as well.”

Tori opened up about how fans often why she’s not a Real Housewife. It’s a fair question.
According to her, she spoke about it with Andy Cohen in person — and that he’d sort of nipped that idea in the bud.
“Once I asked Andy Cohen, who I love and have known forever, been on his show many times,” Tori recalled.

There was one obvious potential explanation for why Andy Cohen (and others at Bravo) never cast her on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“What I really want to say to him, and I’m a little passive aggressive, so I’m like, ‘Huh! All the fans ask, Andy, so I don’t know, whatever that’s fine,’” Tori admitted.
Admitting her suspicion to listeners, Tori confessed: “What I wanted to say is, ‘Uh, is it ’cause I’m broke? Let’s be real.’”
Long before Tori and Dean’s divorce, one of the defining aspects of their marriage was financial troubles. They share five children, and financial struggles — despite Tori’s mother’s fortune — certainly contributed to many of their relationship issues over the years.
We have to note that not all Real Housewives are rich. Sure, Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards are loaded. Gina Kirschenheiter famously worried that she was joining as the “poor” Housewife.

As it turns out, we did not know everything there is to know about The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift’s brand new studio album.
Because Swift dropped a bombshell very early on Friday morning.
She has not actually released a brand new studio album, you see…
… she has released TWO brand new studio albums.
“It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album,” wrote the global superstar at, well, 2 a.m. on Instagram.
“I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you.”
To be clear, there had been speculation that Swift might be releasing two albums at the same time.
But now we have confirmation — oh, and we also have A LOT of new Taylor Swift music!
“So here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs,” concluded Swift on social media.
‘And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.”
Swift had often held up two fingers in the past during public appearance, doing so, for example, on stage at the Grammy Awards in February.
Astute followers knew this wasn’t a mere peace sign from the artist; they suspected that she was leaving them a clue as to what she had planned.
The first part of The Tortured Poets Department features references to Lucy Dacus, along with tracks that were seemingly written about her brief romance last year with The 1975 musician Matty Healy.
“It was really a lifeline for me — just the things that I was going through, the things that I was writing about … it kind of reminded me why songwriting actually gets me through my life,” she told fans about her new music at a tour stop earlier this year.
“I’ve never had an album that I needed songwriting more than I needed it on Tortured Poets.”
Elsewhere, via the single “So Long, London,” Swift makes apparent nod her split from Joe Alwyn, including the following raw and candid lyrics:
“You swore that you loved me but where were the clues? I died on the altar waiting for the proof. You sacrificed us to the gods of your bluest days…
“And I’m just getting color back into my face… I’m just mad as hell ’cause I loved this place for so long, London/Had a good run/Moment of warm sun/But I’m not the one.”
Taylor, of course, has since moved all the way on with Travis Kelce.
Swift isn’t yearning for the past, as fans know well. She’s making it clear how she’s looking to the future.
“The Tortured Poets Department. An anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time – one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure,” she previously wrote. “This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up.”
In conclusion at the time?
There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted.
This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it.
And then all that’s left behind is the tortured poetry.

It will be released at midnight EST on April 19.

Swift recently teased the “TTPD Timetable” with an animated video posted to Instagram that confirmed a music video for one of the new songs will be dropping Friday evening at 8 p.m. EST. EEK!
The social media footage opens on a clock reading 2:00 inside a room that’s reminiscent of Swift’s 1970s-inspired Midnights visuals.
The camera then exits the room and moves down a bland hallway before landing on a door labeled, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Entering through the keyhole, we see a sparse black and white space that features two desks facing each other with empty chairs. Atop the desks are black typewriters, loose papers and coffee cups.
Featured on the tracklist previously dropped by Swift?
Collaborations with Post Malone (“Fortnight”) and Florence + the Machine (“Florida!!!”).
Swift’s longtime collaborator, Jack Antonoff, is also listed in the credits for co-writing a number of the new singles.

No dilemma here: Ashanti just revealed she’s pregnant and engaged to Nelly for real!
Millennials everywhere, gather! It’s our time!
Ashanti is going to be welcoming a baby into the world and it’s just the kickoff of blessings 2024 has in-store for her.
The “What’s Luv” singer, 43, revealed to Essence that she and Nelly are expecting their first child together.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation,” she told the magazine, adding:
“Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
She also confirmed her pregnancy on Instagram after the interview dropped. In a video with her mom, Tina Douglas, she showed here mama the a positive Proov pregnancy test.
“Imma need about nine months,” Ashanti teased when asked when she might be hitting the stage again.
A very cute way to announce such a truly beautiful blessing. While this is Ashanti’s first kid, Nelly has a daughter Chanelle, 30, and son Cornell Haynes III, 25, with ex Channetta Valentine. He also adopted Shawn and Sydney Thomas, the two children of his sister, Jackie Donahue, after she died of leukemia in 2005.
But hold up! Did Ashanti say… fiancé?!
Indeed she did! In the interview, not only did she confirm her pregnancy, but she also confirmed she’s engaged to Nelly. While they didn’t share any details about when and how they got engaged, the news comes to the delight of fans who have been following their love story since 2003.
Yes, 2003 – as in 20 years ago! These two were together for years, before their broke up and moved on with other people. But then, as Carrie Bradshaw would say, just like that, they found a way back to each other.

The trial of Alec Baldwin on involuntary manslaughter in the accidental shooting on the set of “Rust” is happening.
After a slew rollercoaster changes and abrupt starts and stops, the 30 Rock star will in fact face a jury and possible jail time for the death of Halyna Hutchins.
And now that Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has been sent to jail for her role in the accident, many are wondering if the same will happen to Alec.
Starting in July 2024, the world will follow along as both sides present the case against the star and producer of the western film that turned fatal for one young mother.
Here’s everything we know going in.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin on on July 9. If all goes well, that will mean testimony will begin July 10.
From there, the trial is scheduled to last eight days, concluding on July 19.
Interestingly enough, Alec’s lawyers had requested that the trial start a month early. His lead attorney, Alex Spiro, petitioned for a June 13th.
“Mr. Baldwin has been dealing with this for several years,” Spiro said at the hearing to decide the trial start. “We’re asking for a speedy trial.”
Prosecutor Kari Morrissey was the hold up, as she told the court that she would be unavailable until July.
Strike one for team Baldwin.
Baldwin was initially charged in the case in January 2023.
However, the charges were dropped three months later. His defense team insisted there was evidence that suggested the Colt .45 he was holding in the scene was not functioning properly.
The young cinematographer was preparing to film a scene with Baldwin at a ranch near Santa Fe, N.M., in October 2021 when the gun went off.
New Mexico prosecutors initially dropped the criminal case against Alec last summer to review new evidence.
They concluded after their investigation that there was enough evidence to reinstate the charges.
“[Alec Baldwin] did cause the death of Halyna Hutchins by an act committed with the total disregard of indifference for the safety of others,” the indictment read in part when filed in January 2024.
“Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in March 2024 for her role in the accidental shooting death of Halyna Hutchins.
On April 15, she was sentenced to 18 months in prison, the maximum possible sentence for the crime.
Gutierrez-Reed, 26, cried as the New Mexico District Court Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer read out her sentencing and refuse to entertain her legal teams requests for accommodations.
“A conditional discharge is not appropriate,” the judge deemed. “The second option — leaving you in the detention center — is giving you a pass you do not deserve … you alone turned a safe weapon into a lethal weapon. But for you, a husband would have his wife and a little boy would have his mother.”
Alec has insisted that he did not pull the trigger, but if found guilty, he faces going to prison for up to 18 months.
According to his defense team, prosecutors are attempting to hold him responsible as a producer for lapses that led to an unsafe set.
“There is a theory that by being the creative producer, he also has criminal liability,” his lawyer said. “We don’t think that will withstand scrutiny.”
Alec is accused of firing a live bullet from a Colt .45 revolver while rehearsing for a scene on Oct. 21, 2021.
Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer, was killed, when the gun fired. The director, Joel Souza, was also wounded.
In his testimonies and interviews since the incident, Alec has repeatedly denied pulling the trigger. He maintains that he was told the gun was “cold” before he was given the weapon.
But Alec is not the only person being tried for Halyna’s death.
Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the film’s armorer, is also facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, as well as evidence tampering.

The Talk been canceled – officially, definitively, absolutely.
Though shows like The Talk have faced interruptions in recent years, the CBS daytime show has been airing in full swing for 15 years.
And now, their days are numbered.
CBS is ending the long-running daytime chat show in the fall of 2024.
It will still get a 15th season, albeit an abbreviated one, starting in September, but then it will get a “celebratory sendoff” in December.
“It goes without saying that hosting and producing a year-round talk show is no easy task, and we express our sincere gratitude to our amazing hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood, our executive producer/showrunner Rob Crabbe and the hardworking producing team and crew,” said the statement from the network.
The writing was on the wall for awhile, sadly, with fans voicing concern The Talk would be cancelled earlier in March.
For awhile in March the network actually yanked The Talk off of the air.
CBS claimed that it’s a temporary measure at the time, but fans — already concerned about the show’s prospects — weren’t so sure.
On Monday, March 18, through Wednesday, March 20, The Talk aired like always. Then, something changed.
CBS pulled the show from its daytime lineup on Thursday, March 21. Confused viewers quickly realized that it would not air on Friday, March 22, either.
Fans feared that the network was doing a little spring cleaning. Had CBS canceled The Talk already?

Fans had already been expressing concern about the talk show’s future. After all, CBS has a new soap opera, The Gates, which will need room to grow.
(Notably, we should not confuse this soap with ABC’s criminally underrated 2010 supernatural crime drama, The Gates)
However, CBS put forward the official story, via a press release: “The Talk is preempted due to CBS Sports coverage of March Madness.”
March Madness is a sports term, referring to a series of basketball games that are, one assumes, very exciting to basketball fans.
(Yes, the Super Bowl was literally just one month earlier, but that was football. Year after year, there seems to be no end to sports events.)
Apparently, these sporting events are so important that networks are willing to place other shows on hiatus simply for viewers to watch an orange ball pass through a net.
Or not pass through the net, as the case may be.
CBS set aside noon until 5 PM (ET) on Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22 as all-basketball, all the time, airing the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
It’s worth noting, for those who worry for The Talk’s future, that soap operas were also placed on a temporary hiatus.
Officially, these returned on Monday, March 25. Even though “March” Madness continued until April 8, its daytime programming was limited to March 21-22.
In 2010, The Talk premiered with a different lineup. Hosts included Julie Chen Moonves, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, and Holly Robinson Peete.
In 2024, the Season 14 lineup includes Sheryl Underwood, Jerry O’Connell, Natalie Morales, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Amanda Kloots.
Departures can happen for many reasons. Most memorable of all may have been Sharon Osbourne’s firing following horror stories of racism and homophobia towards her co-hosts and others.
Even with host scandals behind them (Sharon was not alone), fans have a number of concerns.
Between The Talk‘s relatively low ratings – despite its usefulness for promoting other CBS programs to viewers – and the full dance card of soap operas, viewers were concerned that CBS wouldn’t renew the series for another season.
Now we know – it’s the end of an era!

Just three months after they got married on The Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced today that they intend to divorce.
The couple broke the news to fans during an interview on Good Morning America.
They insisted that despite the brevity of their time together, the decision to separate was made mutually and amicably.
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation,” Gerry began.
“And we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to — dissolve our marriage.”
“Get a divorce?” interviewer Juju Chang asked.
“Yes,” Gerry somberly replied.
From there, Theresa thanked fans of the show for their support and said that despite its sad ending, she hopes that her love story will continue to inspire older singles.
“We have received so much love and support from so many people who watched The Golden Bachelor, and I don’t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope,” Nist said.
“We want none of that to change for anybody.”
Theresa went on to explain that while there were many reasons behind the couple’s decision to call it quits, geography was a major one, as she and Gerry simply couldn’t on which state to call home.
“We looked at homes in South Carolina, we considered New Jersey, and we just looked at home after home, but we never got to the point where we made that decision,” she said.
From there, Gerry clarified that while he and Theresa have decided to go their separate ways, his affection toward his soon-to-be ex-wife remains strong.
“I still love this person,” Gerry said. “There’s no doubt in my mind, I still am in love with her. I root for her every day.”
“Yeah, I still love him,” Theresa added.
Despite claims that reality TV fame changed Gerry for the worse, it seems that his brief marriage to Theresa was unmarred by any major conflicts or ego issues.
Rather, the two simply decided that they’d rushed into a relationship that was no longer sustainable.
Gerry was the very first Golden Bachelor, and when he proposed to Theresa on the show’s season finale, fans were quick to declare the experiment a rousing success.
Sadly, Gerry and Theresa met the same fate as so many other Bachelor couples who went their separate ways soon after the cameras stopped rolling.
Hopefully, the forthcoming Golden Bachelorette will result in a more favorable outcome.
And who knows? Maybe one day, Theresa will be the one handing out roses on a senior-oriented spin-off!
