May 7 marked the first Tuesday in May, making it the most important Tuesday, according to Chrissy Teigen.
While presenting the Design Innovator Award to Cult Gaia’s Jasmin Larian Hekmat at the Accessories Council Excellence Awards New York City, Teigen, 38, said the day was a major one, jokingly referencing the Met Gala on Monday, May 6. For years, the Met Gala has been hailed as the biggest day of the year and is always hosted on the first Monday in May.
Before going on to praise Hekmat’s talent and formidable impact on the fashion industry (she created the beloved Ark bag), Teigen told the audience that she “wasn’t invited” to the exclusive soirée but had an outfit to wear if she were.
“I would have worn this,” Teigen said, directing attention to her floor-length mesh gown, which featured floral appliqués throughout.
Many attendees, including Zendaya, Kylie Jenner, Kelsea Ballerini and Queen Latifah, incorporated florals into their looks.
Zendaya, 27, made Met history when she walked the Met red carpet twice, first in a Maison Margiela Couture gown featuring a forest green corset and a navy blue skirt. The design, which was also equipped with dark fruit embellishments, was a reinterpretation of a Dior spring/summer 1999 garment. Hours later, she reemerged on the carpet in a billowing black Givenchy gown, topping the look off with a bouquet of flowers on her head.
Jenner, 26, looked refreshingly elegant in a “rose water” silk gown by Oscar de la Renta, accessorizing with florals in her hair. Ballerini, 30, was covered in pink petals thanks to Michael Kors and Latifah, 54, made her Met debut in Thom Browne.
While Teigen wasn’t present at the 2024 soirée, she has attended Mets in the past.
She was a vision at the 2017 gala, rocking Marchesa for the “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between” theme. Teigen also graced the 2015 event in a timeless black St. John dress. That year, the theme was “China: Through the Looking Glass.” One year earlier, she was a must-see in a metallic halter gown for the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” party. At her first Met in 2011, she delivered drama in a black beaded Chris March gown that featured feathers throughout
Cohen, 55, was asked about speculation that he and Mayer, 46, are more than friends during a Hollywood Reporterprofile published on Wednesday, May 8.
“Let them speculate! I honestly love John Mayer, and he loves me,” Cohen replied. “But because we’re so affectionate toward each other, people don’t know what box to put that in. They assume we’re sleeping with each other, which we are most definitely not.”
The talk show host has been friends with Mayer for years and has admitted that their bond is somewhat surprising.
“John Mayer and I have what some would consider an unlikely friendship,” he wrote for a 2015 Entertainment Weekly article. “He’s one of our greatest living guitarists, and I’m regarded as the dude that stirs the s—t on late-night TV.”
Cohen documented the pair’s road trip to see the Grateful Dead in the article, noting that they went to a gay bar together where Mayer acted as his wingman. (Mayer joined the band Dead & Company with several former Grateful Dead members in 2015.)
“As the night went on, we wound up on the dance floor and — from what I remember — it was nothing short of euphoric,” Cohen wrote.
The twosome have continued to share heartwarming insights into their friendship since then. In 2021, Cohen posted a screenshot of himself and Mayer enjoying a FaceTime chat.
“End of day Kiki with my dreamy friend. Of note: we’re both wearing jammies! Have a good show tonight, @johnmayer @deadandcompany,” he captioned the shot, in which Mayer stared broodingly at the camera.
Andy later proved that even his mom, Evelyn Cohen, is tight with the singer-songwriter when he shared a photo of her steaming one of Mayer’s shirts.
“My mom stops at nothing to help other house guests!” he captioned the August 2023 Instagram snap.
“His voice on radio, his humor and charm on his nightly late-night talk show, and his reality TV dynasty all bring a much-needed ray of sunshine into our lives,” Mayer said. “Making our morning drives a little less soul-crushing, our nights a little less lonely, and allowing us to feel as if we have a friend up there, among the Hollywood stars.”
Andy addressed the touching tribute in Wednesday’s Hollywood Reporter profile.
“When he inducted me into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, John Mayer said that I unwittingly have become a gay best friend to people who never had a gay best friend. That really moved me,” he said. “There’s a lot of moms who have come up to me at book signings and say, ‘I watched your show for years with my son, who then wound up coming out of the closet, and having you meant a lot to us.’”
Nicholas Galitzine is weighing in on the conversation surrounding his sexuality after finding his niche playing queer characters.
The actor, 29, swiftly became the internet’s boyfriend after starring in Amazon Prime’s queer rom-comRed, White & Royal Blue, which tells the story of a prince falling in love with the president’s son. Six months later, he played George Villiers, the son of a countess who seduces King James I in the drama miniseries Mary & George.
“I identify as a straight man, but I have been a part of some incredible queer stories,” Galitzine told GQ in an interview published Wednesday, May 8. “I felt a sense of uncertainty sometimes about whether I’m taking up someone’s space, and perhaps guilt. At the same time, I see those characters as not solely their sexuality.”
The British actor also pushed back on fans conflating him with his characters. “I am Nick, and I’m not my role,” he said.
Galitzine has been open about the gravitational pull LGBTQ+ stories have for him, telling Huffington Post UK that there are a “plethora of reasons” behind his desire to star in films with queer themes. “One, I have so many friends within the community, and I know so many of them didn’t feel like they had these stories growing up,” he noted earlier this year.
He explained that his role in Red, White & Royal Blue particularly spoke to his chums in the gay community. “My gay friends were like, ‘Wow, to have something cheesy and broad and wholesome is, like, really, really important,’ and I think the resonance of that means a lot to me,” he said.
There’s an added layer to the roles that stands out as well, Galitzine explained. “I think with all of these characters the thing that I find really intriguing as an actor is that underbelly of vulnerability and having to hide oneself,” he continued. “I’m very interested in identity.”
Most recently, Galitzine starred alongside Anne Hathaway in the rom-com The Idea of You. The film, based on the novel of the same name by Robinne Lee, follows a divorced mother (Hathaway) who starts up a romance with a much younger pop star (Galitzine). While promoting the movie, which hit Amazon Prime on Thursday, May 2, Galitzine shared that he was drawn to the film’s subversive nature, which contradicts the typical rom-com archetypes.
“The notion that this movie promotes female pleasure as this sort of protagonist I think is really interesting and unique, and obviously displays an age-gap love that we don’t usually see on screen between a younger man and an older woman,” he told Hits Radio in March. “It was very exciting in that way, as well.”

Ariana Madix is firing back at a Love Island fan who had some words to say about her new hosting gig.
“You are no Maya [Jama],” one user wrote on Madix and Peacock’s joint Instagram post teasing the new season of Love Island USA, referring to the host of the U.K.’s Love Island.
“That’s obvious, dear,” Madix, 38, replied. “I could never be nor am i trying to be the queen that is maya jama. and guess what? it would be weird if i did. i am me and i am going to bring my best self to my dream hosting job doing what i do best: BE MYSELF. have a good day.”
In the teaser for Love Island USA, uploaded via social media, Madix reads a text that said, “Ariana Madix, will you host Peacock’s new Love Island USA?” to which she enthusiastically replied, “Yes!”
Madix proceeded to pack her bags and head off on a day full of travels — including riding a Vespa, on top of an airplane and on a surfboard. “Who’s ready to couple up?” Madix asked as she hit the sand, with a wink.
The Vanderpump Rules star confirmed in March that she was tapped as the new host of Love Island USA. “Talk about a bombshell. This summer, I’m trading rhinestone buckles for bikinis,” Madix shared in an Instagram video. “I’m hosting the next season of Love Island USA, streaming this summer on Peacock. I can’t wait to stir up some trouble in paradise.”
Madix filmed the clip seemingly standing on the stage in New York City’s Ambassador Theatre for her stint as Roxie Hart in Chicago. “See you in the villa for an all new season of @loveislandusa hosted by me!” she captioned the video.
Madix’s announcement came after rumors that she was taking over for former host Sarah Hyland, who announced her exit from the show days before.
“Well, just got a text . I’m disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer,” Hyland, 33, wrote in an Instagram Story post in March. “I have committed to an exciting project, that will be announced soon, that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for Love Island USA. While I’m sad I can’t return, I hope to see lots of love this summer on Peacock this upcoming season!”
Kate Hudson reminisced about her marriage to Chris Robinson — and shared why the couple ultimately went in “different directions.”
Hudson, 45, discussed her time with the Black Crowes frontman, 57 — who she was married to from 2000 to 2007 — during a Tuesday, May 7, appearance on The Howard Stern Show.
“My relationship with Chris was so beautiful and there was so much love there, but I really did grow out of it, and it was a very hard breakup,” Hudson told Stern, 70. “That was not an easy breakup. I was very in love with him, but it wasn’t going to be the rest of my life.”
Hudson was only 21 when she and Robinson got married. The couple welcomed their first and only child, son Ryder, when Hudson was 24.
“I was like a baby,” Hudson said of that time. “When my life really started to really take off and I wanted to go in different directions, we literally just weren’t in the same space to keep going.”
Hudson called her ex-husband “brilliant” and “really funny,” but acknowledged his desire to live “as a nomad and an artist,” which she said “can be hard for relationships.”
Robinson recently opened up about the dissolution of the marriage, as well, telling the Sydney Morning Herald the relationship “was over before our son Ryder was 2 years old.”
“I am not afraid of the realities that befall all of us when things go wrong,” Robinson said in a story published May 2, “and I take a lot of pride in being responsible as a parent.”
Prior to Hudson, Robinson was married to Lala Sloatman from 1996 to 1998. Robinson married second wife Allison Bridges in 2009, and the couple welcomed daughter Cheyenne later that year. The pair divorced in 2018.
Robinson married his fourth wife, Camille Johnson, in January 2020.
Hudson, meanwhile, was engaged to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy from 2011 to 2014. The couple welcomed son Bingham in 2011.
She is currently engaged to music producer Danny Fujikawa, with whom she shares daughter Rani, 5.
Hudson and Fujikawa, 37, are currently figuring out wedding plans. On Tuesday, she told Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Livethat the couple wants to tie the knot “soon.”
“I just don’t want to plan a wedding,” Hudson noted. “It’s such a bummer.”
Though Hudson acknowledged, “I want the party. I love a party. That’s the only problem.”
“Maybe,” Minkoff, 43, teased to Us Weekly exclusively when asked about the RHONY rumors at the Accessories Council Excellence Awards on Tuesday, May 7.
“There’s a side of me that’s very lighthearted, funny and very dorky,” Minkoff continued. “If I were to be on the show, I would want people to see that side of me.”
Reports regarding Minkoff’s stint on the show started swirling last month after Deadline revealed that the designer joinedRHONY in an unspecified role. Production sources later confirmed to Us that Minkoff had “been shooting with some of the ladies for the upcoming season.”
Further details about her role are being kept under wraps for now, the insider added.
RHONY premiered via Bravo in March 2008 and aired for 13 seasons before being put on pause. In July 2023, the revamped RHONY officially aired its 14th season with an entire new cast, including Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield.
As season 14 came to an end in October 2023, the future of the franchise was up in the air. Bravo officially announced season 15 in March, revealing all of the women were set to return.
Initially, there were rumors that Lyons, 55, would be handing in her apple, but the fashion industry mogul was the one “to dispel the rumors” in the season 15 teaser.
Lyons revealed on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in October 2023 that her “thorn” from her inaugural RHONY season was “the whole show.” The Bravo star was quick to backtrack, adding that “realizing how hard it was” came as a shock.
“I really thought I was going to have an easier time. It was hard,” she admitted. “It’s shocking when you actually have cameras on you. I thought I could handle it, and I cried.”
While speaking to Us exclusively at the time, Lyons admitted she doesn’t “understand” how she became a fan-favorite cast member, noting that it was “100 percent” a surprise.
“I do find the passion and the loyalty from the fans really incredible,” she continued. “It makes the process more fun.”
Lyons added: “After my first couple of days filming with big personalities like Ubah and Brynn, I didn’t think anyone would even remember my name. Let alone fangirl and fanboy on the street.”
Kate Beckinsale is getting creative about responding to critics who have accused her of getting plastic surgery and not wearing “age appropriate” clothes.
The 50-year-old actress dressed up in old man prosthetics in a series of Instagram photos and videos uploaded on Wednesday, May 8. She looked unrecognizable as she posed in a wheelchair, wearing a white suit and cradling a white fluffy cat.
Beckinsale captioned the first photo: “New deal. This is all you’re getting. Hope it is less triggering and more what you consider age appropriate. Sayonara bitches.”
Three days prior, on Sunday, May 5, Beckinsale wrote a lengthy Instagram post in which she blamed social media users for bullying her over plastic surgery rumors.
“I hate talking about this because I hate adding to this conversation but I’m doing it because insidious bullying of any kind over time takes a toll,” she wrote in the post.
Beckinsale went on to lament that for the past 20-odd years, she has been accused of getting plastic surgery, Botox and fillers in an effort to look younger.
“It’s really such a tiresome and subtly vicious way to bully a person,” she continued, adding, “Whatever someone looks like, accusing them constantly of things they haven’t done, or being obsessed with youth when actually, currently I’m obsessed with surviving loss, is bullying. Please stop now.”
The Fool’s Paradise actress made her red carpet return on Thursday, May 2, at the King’s Trust Gala in New York City, after disappearing from the spotlight in March due to undisclosed health issues.
While on the red carpet, Beckinsale revealed to People that she has found 2024 far from easy.
“It’s been a rough year,” she said. “Because my parents have both been unwell and my cat … it’s been a bunch of things. So that’s why it’s nice to come and see friends and have a little perspective. Everyone’s had a bit of a rough year, I think.”
In addition to his legendary music career, Frankie Valli is a father of six.
The Four Seasons frontman first became a father figure in 1957 when he married ex-wife Mary Mandel, who shared daughter Celia with a former partner. Valli and Mandel later welcomed two more children together before they divorced in 1971.
Valli went on to marry Mary Ann Hannigan. After eight years together, the pair separated, and Valli moved on with Randy Clohessy. The twosome welcomed three sons before they ultimately split in 2004.
The Grease singer has also weathered his fair share of tragedy. Celia died in 1980 after falling off a fire escape. Months later, Valli’s daughter Francine died of a drug overdose.
“To be very honest with you, sometimes I don’t know. It was a very tough period for me. You would think that as time went by it would get easier,” Valli told The Telegraph in a 2018 profile. “But it doesn’t. You should never lose a child.”
Nearly six years later, Valli was granted a protective order against his son Francesco. According to court documents obtained by People in May 2024, Valli’s son Emilio filed documents on behalf of himself and the musician, requesting that Francesco cease any contact with the family. Emilio claimed that Francesco repeatedly threatened him and Valli and allegedly stole his father’s personal belongings.
Keep scrolling to meet Valli’s family:
Mary Mandel
Valli and Mandel were married from 1957 to 1971. Upon their nuptials, Valli became stepfather to Mandel’s daughter from a previous relationship, Celia. Together, they welcomed two more daughters.
Mary Ann Hannigan
Valli was married to Hannigan for eight years from 1974 to 1982.
Randy Clohessy
Valli married Clohessy in 1984 before welcoming three sons. They separated in 2004.
Jackie Jacobs
Valli wed for the fourth time in June 2023. He and Jacobs started dating in 2015 after initially meeting eight years prior.
Mandel’s daughter from her first marriage was born in 1954. She died in February 1980, but her death was not featured in either the Jersey Boys movie or musical about Valli’s life and career.
Antonia ‘Toni’ Valli
Toni is the eldest daughter of Valli and Mandel. Toni later married Gerry Polci, a member of her father’s Four Seasons band, in 1987.
“I first saw him when I was 15,” she previously told The New York Times in 1995. “I fell in love with him the first time I ever saw him. My father had been raving about him as a drummer — the best he had ever heard, he said — but when he saw how I felt about Gerry, my father said I wasn’t going to marry any musician.”
Toni and Polci welcomed children Olivia and Dario ahead of their eventual divorce. Olivia is a Broadway actress, who once played Mandel in a 2019 production of Jersey Boys.
Francine Valli
Valli and Mandel welcomed Francine in 1960. She died at the age of 20 in 1980 after an accidental drug overdose.
Francesco Valli Jr.
Francesco, born in 1988, is Valli’s first son with Clohessy. Like his niece Olivia, Francesco is an actor who appeared in Full House, The House Bunny and Reach Me.
Francesco’s brother Emilio filed a temporary restraining order against him in April 2024, claiming that Francesco was “addicted to opiates” and allegedly broke into Valli’s home to steal his belongings. A judge granted the order one month later, barring Francesco from having any contact with Valli and his siblings.
“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” a rep for the singer said in a statement at the time.
Valli and Clohessy welcomed twins Emilio and Brando in 1995. After a brief stint working behind the scenes in Hollywood, Emilio became a realtor in Malibu.
Brando Valli
Emilio’s twin brother has followed in their father’s footsteps as a musician. Brando dropped singles “Imagine” and “Numb With U” in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
Brando and Emilio joined Valli at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in May 2024.
“This is really a highlight of my life, especially having my sons here and my wife sitting right there,” Valli said at the time, referring to Jacobs and the twins.
During the first seven minutes of next week’s Bravo special, host Andy Cohen asked the cast for their thoughts on Rachel’s exit and subsequent transition to podcast host.
Sandoval, 41, recalled initially not being sure whether Rachel, 29, would return to the show, adding, “I always encouraged her to take some time away from everybody, including myself, and come to her decision that way.”
The rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast was asked whether they had “any regrets” about their final conversations with Rachel. In March 2024, Rachel, Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, James Kennedy and Tom Schwartz sat down to address Scandoval mere weeks after the cheating scandal made headlines.
At the time, Rachel was ripped apart by her costars for being friends with Ariana, 38, while secretly hooking up with Sandoval. Rachel later checked herself into a mental health facility and announced she wouldn’t be appearing on Vanderpump Rules again.
Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules picked back up three months after the drama, with some people willing to give Rachel another chance. Despite Lala, 33, calling Rachel on-air to try to make amends, she had different thoughts after Rachel’s August 2023 tell-all interview with Bethenny Frankel.
“As time passes, there’s healing that happens. And I think had she come back, we would have had a very productive conversation,” Lala noted in the sneak peek. “But I stand behind everything that I said at that reunion.”
Meanwhile, Ariana stood by her decision to call Rachel out, saying, “I mean I had the courage to stand up to my perpetrators. I can’t believe I even showed up that day.”
“Well, I think credit needs to be given to her with that. Because I’m very proud of Ariana for coming and facing something that was very difficult. She had a solid support system physically in the room and outside, right?” Lala pointed out. “For Tom and Raquel to show up — now that was like, ‘Damn, I consider myself a tough bitch, I don’t think I could have. I don’t think I would have.'”
“Looking back, I think she’s a f–king coward. Like, I’m sorry to say it,” he fired back. “And I think her sitting here preaching to everybody that she’s moving on but still talking relentlessly about me and everybody is just f–king ridiculous.”
Sandoval’s frustration comes after Rachel made countless references to their fling on her podcast. She notably claimed that Sandoval mocked her choice to seek treatment for her mental health.
Rachel admitted she didn’t have fond memories of Sandoval, adding, “The amount of times that Sandoval called me selfish while I was in the Meadows and [said] that I’m running away from my problems. And [said] that I’m dependent on this place that’s basically an assisted living facility.”
“That just reveals the type of person that he is,” she continued. “Knowing how important mental health has become in my life and how much of a priority that is to me, there’s no question that Sandoval and I will never be friends again.”
Sandoval, for his part, has claimed he showed support for Rachel before she cut off all contact. He has since been dating Victoria Lee Robinson, while Rachel sparked romance rumors with businessman Matthew Dunn.
The first part of the Vanderpump Rules season 11 reunion airs on Bravo Tuesday, May 14, at 8 p.m. ET and is available to stream on Peacock the next day.

“I also heard from some friends of ours who are close to the source that filming with her was close to filming with Clare Crawley,” Natalie, 25, alleged on the Tuesday, May 7, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast.
After Nick, 43, confirmed he had also heard that rumor, guest Josh Peck replied, “Guessing it was a little tough with Clare.”
Nick explained that Clare was “famously the only Bachelorette who quit a week into filming,” adding, “which kind of tracks, I mean, Maria quit even before filming started.” (Maria claimed earlier this month on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that the next Bachelorette role was “mine until I said it wasn’t,” saying she backed out of the role because she was “not in the right headspace.”)
“When you’re doing your fittings, you’re the Bachelorette, you’re the Bachelor, you’re the lead,” Nick said. “You’re filming, I mean they’re taking content.”
Within hours of the podcast episode airing, Clare, 43, took to her Instagram Story to share a message seemingly pointed at the claims.
“To the women perceived as ‘aggressive,’ continue to be assertive,” the quote read. “To the women perceived as ‘bossy,’ continue leading. To the women perceived as ‘too much,’ continue taking up space. To the women perceived as ‘awkward,’ continue to ask hard questions. To the women: be yourself.”
Back in March 2020, Clare was named the season 16 lead of The Bachelorette. Less than two weeks into filming months later, Clare exited the show early after getting engaged to Dale Moss. (The couple ultimately split in September 2021 after an on-and-off relationship.)
As for Maria’s claims that she stepped back from the role of The Bachelorette season 21, Nick alleged that he thinks “there’s another version to this story.” (Jenn Tran was announced as the lead during the After the Final Rose episode.)
“I think that’s definitely Maria’s truth,” Nick claimed. “In my experience with the show — I don’t know anything specific about what happened with Maria and the show and why she turned it down — but in my experience, the few instances where someone was meant to be the lead and in the last minute there was a switch, I only know that experience from when the show decided that the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze.”
While noting that it’s “entirely believable” that Maria turned down the role of The Bachelorette, Nick said he hadn’t “heard of that version” before.
“Imagine how difficult it might be to work with someone who — instead of thinking it was possible that they could rub anyone the wrong way — that it was more believable to this person that their own friend, who they hadn’t spoken with in several years, for no other reason than to prove himself right, decided to come up with this elaborate conspiracy theory as to why she might have rubbed some women in the house the wrong way,” he noted. “That person might, you know, be challenging.”
Nick also shut down Maria’s “bizarre conspiracy” that he had played a role in her feud with fellow contestant Sydney Gordon while vying for the affections of Joey Graziadei. (During her appearance on “Call Her Daddy,” Maria speculated that Nick’s friendship with fellow Bachelor alum Ashley Iaconetti — who is close with Sydney, 28 — may have led to her edit on the ABC series. Maria also noted that Nick theorized she would become the “villain” if she joined the franchise.)
“That is true, long ago I did tell Maria — because Maria used to always ask me to get her on the show — and I did tell her that I could see her being the villain,” Nick said. “And somehow that turned into Maria thinking that in my zero free time and not knowing that she was on the show that somehow I made it my mission to [take her down].”
Nick pointed out that Maria was instead a “fan-favorite” of Bachelor Nation’s during her stint on Joey’s season.
“It’s just giving delusional, honestly, at the end of the day,” Natalie said.
One Taylor Swift fan is living his wildest dreams after the superstar commented on his TikTok interpretation of one of her songs.
TikTok user Giacomo Benavidesposted an overly dramatic clip of himself acting out 30 seconds of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” from Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift, 34, found the video and commented, “This is the official music video .”
Benavides’ all-caps reply probably didn’t do his true reaction justice, but he added, “MOTHER?!???!? SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UPPPPPPP .”
That exchange has since garnered more than 1,600 additional replies, ranging from envious Swifties to influencers like Tana Mongeau and brands like skincare company Mario Badescu.
The part Benavides decided to act out comes when Swift sings, “Were you sent by someone who wanted me dead? / Did you sleep with a gun underneath our bed? / Were you writing a book? Were you a sleeper cell spy? / In 50 years will all this be declassified?”
To go with it, Benavides mouths the words and pulls out a toy gun and later a book to correspond with the lyrics. After that, two friends grab him by the arms and haul him toward a waiting police van.
Since The Tortured Poets Department’s April 19 release, fans have regarded “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” as one of the 31-track double album’s best songs. It peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and currently sits at 30th.
“The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” is believed to be about Swift’s ill-fated relationship with Matt Healy.
Right down to the name itself, the song is a brutal takedown and, though Swift obviously hasn’t said outright that it’s about Healy, the hints throughout are less than subtle.
“The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” feels like a knock on Healy’s short stature. The 1975 frontman told The Fader in 2018, “Everyone in [The 1975] is 6-foot-4 and I’m 5-foot-10, so everyone thinks that I’m 5-foot-5.
Healy also told a fan in a 2022 video, “I am a big boy!”
The first line of the song hints that Healy is the main target as Swift sings, “Was any of it true? / Gazing at me starry-eyed / In your Jehovah’s Witness suit.” Healy, 35, is known to wear a close-cut suit and tie, resembling the go-to look for many Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Swift tactfully follows “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” on her album with “The Alchemy,” which Today called “one of the only pure love songs” of The Tortured Poets Department. The track is filled with sports references that tie it to her current boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift and Kelce, also 34, have been together for nearly a year, first starting to date prior to the 2023 NFL season.
Andy Cohen is offering his thoughts on how the Real Housewives franchise has changed over the years — and how he feels about Bethenny Frankel and Leah McSweeney’s claims about the network.
“If you look at shows like American Idol, Survivor, The Bachelor or the Below Deck people, 90 percent or more of the reality stars on them are on for one season or less,” Cohen explained in his The Hollywood Reporter profile, published on Wednesday, May 8. “Also, acting is a full-time profession. You don’t go to school to be a reality star. Reality stars typically have other jobs.”
The Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host made it clear that he was speaking “as an independent producer” and his thoughts no way crossed with Bravo’s.
“I think the way that Bravo pays people is that it’s a buyout — they’re buying them out for a show that can be distributed in certain ways, and the longer you stay on, the higher your salary gets. And salaries for people who have been on a long time are really high. Look, you’re not drafted into the Real Housewives. You either want to be on the show or not, and you either see it as having some greater benefit for you or not.”
While he didn’t slam Frankel — or anyone for that matter — in THR profile Cohen did get candid. Keep scrolling for the biggest Bravo-related takeaways:
1. Where He Stands With Disgraced Housewives
Cohen called himself “a nostalgic person” who is “proud” of the close relationships he’s made over the years on Bravo. While not naming anyone specifically, Cohen said it’s “hurtful” when he becomes targets for the former stars.
“I think most people involved with these shows have been very grateful for the platform, but there will always be a few with complaints,” Cohen said. “But I have no regrets about the way I’ve handled anything. I think everything that happens in your life informs the next thing that happens in your life. That’s the way I look at all this. I know what the truth is, and I know how I’ve conducted myself, and I walk tall every day on that.”
Former RHONY star McSweeney, for her part, sued Cohen and Bravo in February, claiming that they exploited her struggles with alcoholism. During his THR profile, Cohen reacted to the various allegations with one short and sweet sentence.
“Unfortunately, I can’t talk about some of these things,” he said, seemingly referring to them being ongoing legal matters.
3. Sobriety and Bravo
One thing Cohen did speak about, however, is the relationship between Bravo and alcohol. While he didn’t name McSweeney, these comments appeared to be directed toward her claims.
“What I’ll say about the alcohol is that we have so many sober people and people who have gotten sober on the show, like Countess Luann [de Lesseps]. We have people who’ve never had a drink during the entire run of the show,” he said. “Jill Zarin. Kandi Burris. Heather Dubrow will just have an occasional glass of champagne.”
Cohen noted that Bravo doesn’t “force anyone to do anything.” He added, “No one is secretly hiding liquor bottles on set. That’s ridiculous. We’ve been very supportive of people’s sobriety.”
The producer also made it clear that with some of the colorful characters in the Real Housewives franchise they don’t need liquor “to gin up drama” among the women.
“Have you seen Ramona Singer on a random Tuesday at 1 p.m.? Have you ever run into Lisa Rinna at noon? Lisa Rinna does not need a glass of rosé in order to tell you exactly how she is feeling,” Cohen joked. “Margaret Josephs only drinks Diet Coke, and she is a truth cannon wherever she goes. I don’t think Teresa Giudice would say that it was the red wine that caused her to flip that table! We start filming the reunions at 6 a.m. for God’s sake!”
4. Why There’s No BravoCon in 2024
The official BravoCon announcement was made last month — but the three-day convention is skipping this year’s event and going back to Las Vegas for 2025. When asked why, Cohen admitted the convention is “a massive undertaking” overall, noting the 160 Bravo stars, 30,00 people in attendance and five live WWHL episodes.
“It was just a tremendous amount of effort. And when it ended, I remember saying to [NBCU chairman] Frances Berwick, maybe we should skip next year or do it in a year and a half. It will be more special that way,” he recalled. “Also, the space we wanted was only available nine months after we had already done it. And that seemed way too soon. But ultimately it was a Bravo decision, not mine.”
While the decision was recently announced, Bravo made the call “eight months ago,” per Cohen. “People tied it into what’s been happening. But it had absolutely nothing to do with that,” he added.
5. Will Tori Spelling Be on ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’?
Spelling has been making a case to join RHOBH for years. Her most recent attempt was on an episode of her “Misspelling” podcast last month. At the time Spelling wondered if she wasn’t on the show “because I’m broke.”
Cohen, for his part, told THR it’s nothing personal against Spelling.
“Tori Spelling has made a lot of noise about wanting to be on the show. She’d definitely bring great drama, but we’ve never really had a serious conversation about her for some reason,” he said. “I actually have mixed feelings about having stars on the show. When Lisa Rinna was trying out for season one of Beverly Hills, I was very much against the idea. Like, she’s already a celebrity! But then she came, and it made perfect sense.”
Maria appeared to fire back in a since-deleted Instagram Story on Tuesday, resharing a TikTok that read, “You’re so delusional. … My honest reaction,” and included a video of Drake dancing unbothered.
Original story below:
Nick Viall is weighing in on Maria Georgas’ “bizarre conspiracy” about his involvement in The Bachelor season 28 — and her feud with fellow contestant Sydney Gordon.
“She said what was true, that we were friends and that friendship was mostly me giving her relationship advice,” Nick, 43, said during the Tuesday, May 7, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast, before taking issue with a different part of Maria’s claim.
During her appearance on “Call Her Daddy” earlier this month, Maria alleged that Nick’s friendship with fellow Bachelor alum Ashley Iaconetti — who is close with Sydney, 28 — led to her edit on the ABC series. Maria also noted that Nick theorized she would become a “villain” if she were to join the franchise.
Nick pointed out that Maria wasn’t the “villain” during her time on The Bachelor — and instead called her a “fan-favorite” among Bachelor Nation.
“It’s just giving delusional, honestly, at the end of the day,” Nick’s wife, Natalie Joy, added.
During season 28, where 32 women vied for the love of Joey Graziadei, Sydney accused Maria of downplaying fellow contestant Madina Alam’s insecurities about her age. Despite Maria’s apology, Sydney accused her of bullying and creating tension within the group.
Nick noted that it was “kind of funny” during Maria’s appearance on “Call Her Daddy” that she suggested she “could have gone farther” on the show. (Maria claimed during the podcast that she planned to use fellow contestant Jenn Tran’s kiss with Joey, 28, as an “excuse” to leave the competition prior to hometowns. Joey ultimately gave Maria a rose, but sent her home before the fantasy suite episode.)
“Maria, if you’re wondering why I thought way back when if you could be the villain, you saying, ‘I could have gone farther if I wanted to,’ is the type of energy that would put a target on your back in that type of environment,” Nick explained. “That’s all it takes. It’s not that complicated.”
Maria also admitted on “Call Her Daddy” that the next Bachelorette role was “mine until I said it wasn’t,” claiming she backed out of the gig because she was “not in the right headspace.” (Instead, Jenn, 26, was announced as the season 21 lead.)
“I just think there’s another version to this story. I think that’s definitely Maria’s truth,” Nick claimed.
Nick noted that it’s “entirely believable” Maria turned down the opportunity to be The Bachelorette, but he said he hadn’t “heard of that version” before.
North West will make her Hollywood Bowl debut in a concert celebrating one of Disney’s most beloved films, The Lion King.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s eldest child, 10, has joined the star-studded cast of Disney’s The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event. The concert will take place at the Hollywood Bowl amphitheater in Los Angeles on May 24 and May 25 and will air on Disney+ at a later date.
Though it is unknown who North will portray or which songs she will perform, the young artist joins the likes of original Lion King stars Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, Ernie Sabella and Jason Weaver, who portrayed Scar, Timon, Pumbaa and the singing voice of young Simba, respectively.
The concert will also include appearances from Broadway stars Bradley Gibson and Heather Headley, “Circle of Life” singer Lebo M. and special guest Jennifer Hudson. Tickets for the Hollywood Bowl concerts are available now on the venue’s website.
“The special will celebrate the 30-year evolution of The Lion King, from the original 1994 animated film to the 1998 Tony Award-winning Broadway musical to the 2019 dramatic live-action film,” the concert’s press release states.
The Lion King anniversary concert is the latest of North’s career achievements. Having previously joined her famous father on stage and in music videos, North became one of the youngest artists to chart on the Billboard Top 100 earlier this year for her verse in Kanye, 46, and Ty Dolla $ign’s song “Talking.” Following the song’s February release, it reached No. 30 on the Top 100 chart.
“It’s your bestie / Miss, Miss Westie,” North raps on the track. “Don’t try to test me / it’s gonna get messy / It’s gonna get messy / Just, just bless me.”
One month later, North announced that she’s currently working on her debut album titled Elementary School Dropout. The album’s title is a nod to Kanye’s breakthrough 2004 record, The College Dropout.
“It’s gonna be great!” North told Jazzy’s World TV in March. When asked if the album will feature any collaborations with Kanye, North teased, “Maybe! We don’t know yet.”
While The Lion King concert will mark a career first for North, the story’s upcoming prequel film, Mufasa: The Lion King, will be the film debut for Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Disney confirmed the news while releasing the movie’s first trailer last month.
Blue Ivy will portray Kiara, the daughter of Donald Glover’s Simba and Beyoncé’s Nala from the 2019 photo-realistic adaptation. Other returning 2019 cast members include Eichner, 45, as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and John Kani as Rafiki.
Aaron Pierre will star as a young Mufasa, formerly voiced by James Earl Jones, alongside Kelvin Harrison Jr., Tiffany Boone, Kagiso Lediga, Preston Nyman, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Lennie James, Anika Noni Rose and Keith David. Mufasa will hit theaters in December.

Jason Kelce has no interest in a public skewering at the hands of his wife, Kylie Kelce.
After Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady aired all of the NFL legend’s dirty laundry for the world to see, Jason, 36, wondered why anybody would subject themselves to such torment.
“It was pure entertainment,” Jason said Wednesday, May 8, on his “New Heights” podcast. “I’m really happy they did it. But I just do not get the roasts. I don’t understand why people do them.”
Jason added, “Maybe I just take myself too seriously.”
The night was a rough one for Brady, 46, who endured jokes about his playing career, his appearance and, perhaps most aggressively, his relationships with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan and ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
“My family’s ruined. It’s so funny!” Jason joked about what Brady must have been thinking. “Everyone’s laughing, it’s great! We’re all having fun, right?”
Despite his reluctance, Jason and brother Travis Kelce discussed who they’d want to roast them if Netflix ever came calling.
“If I was picking who to roast me, I would pick people that I would have no problem getting into a fistfight with,” Jason explained. “Family members, I mean. Dad can roast me, but I would beat the f–k out of Dad when the camera turns off.”
However, Jason indicated that his invitation wouldn’t extend to all of his family members.
“The one person I wouldn’t allow on the stage is Kylie,” Jason noted. “She has way too much. I cannot allow that.”
Travis, 34, agreed, saying that Kylie, 32, would “f–kin’ torch you.”
“Every day I’m getting roasted by Kylie,” Jason said. “I don’t need her to go up on stage and do that.”
As for Travis, he had a trio of comedians who he’d like to participate in his hypothetical roast.
“[Andrew] Santino is one of my favorite comedians of all time. I think he would f–king deliver,” Travis said. “Dave Chappelle is the all-time great. Kevin Hart. I would love for Kevin just to go up there and f–kin’ rip me in half.”
While we shouldn’t expect to see Kylie on a roast stage anytime soon, Jason did reveal that he followed through on Travis’ suggestion that he get Kylie a sword to celebrate their six-year wedding anniversary, which the couple celebrated last month.
“We got the sword,” Jason said. “Kylie loves it.”
Jason proudly displayed the gift to his brother, who called it “a nice-ass sword.”
“It’s really not,” Jason countered. “I’ve seen better. It’s not that sharp. But it’s for show. It’s a symbol.”
Still, Travis joked that the sword might lead to a “Robert Durst situation” in which Kylie kills Jason “in the basement with the iron sword.”
“I gotta be honest with you,” Jason said. “If Kylie killed me with a sword, I had it coming to me. No need to punish her.”
Cardi B almost went with a different dress for the 2024 Met Gala.
Cardi, 31, took to X on Tuesday, May 7, to show off an alternate design by Windowsen that she debated wearing to the Monday, May 6, ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The gown — which was a teal version of the billowing black gown she ended up wearing to Fashion’s Biggest Night — featured a fitted bodice, a protruding neckline and a pleated skirt that cascaded into a dramatic train that extended at least six feet.
“Green or Black?” Cardi asked her followers. While most of her fans were torn on which color they preferred, some had strong preferences for the green gown, noting it would have been “more” fitting for the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme and “Garden of Time” dress code.
“WHY DIDN’T YOU GO WITH THE GREEN SISTER OMG,” one social media user asked in the comments section. Cardi replied, “It wasn’t photographing well … It translated different on all lighting and angles on camera.”
On the red carpet, the rapper needed seven handlers to carry her gown up the steps as she posed for photos. Cardi accessorized with jewelry including a massive emerald and diamond necklace, a matching ring, bracelet and oversized earrings. She topped her look off with a tall black headwrap and long green nails.
For glam, Cardi donned a full beat including dewy foundation, rosy cheeks, green eyeliner and contacts, filled-in eyebrows, smokey eyeshadow and long lashes.
Cardi never fails to go above and beyond for the Met Gala. In 2019, she killed the “Camp: Notes on Fashion” theme in a custom Thom Browne design featuring 30,000 feathers and a daring train. The ensemble took 35 people over 2,000 hours to finish, per Vogue.
