Shortly after ending her second marriage with Grant Hughes, there were murmurs that she had moved on with someone else: former US soccer star Ashlyn Harris.

The relationship marks the confirmation that Sophia is queer, a lable she is very happy to finally be sharing out loud.

“As I came into myself, I already felt it was my home. I think I’ve always known that my sexuality exists on a spectrum,” Bush, 41, said in her self-written Glamour cover story. “Right now I think the word that best defines it is queer. I can’t say it without smiling, actually. And that feels pretty great.”

“I finally feel like I can breathe. I don’t think I can explain how profound that is,” she added. But she tries all the same.

“I feel like I was wearing a weighted vest for who knows how long. I hadn’t realized how heavy it was until I finally just put it down.”

Who Is Ashlyn Harris?

But is this woman who has captured Sophia’s heart?

 Ashlyn is beloved American former soccer player. She made her debut with the senior national team on March 11, 2013, and competed in both the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cups, alongside teammates like Megan Rapinoe and Ali Krieger, who she later married.

While Ashlyn has been out for quite some time, Sophia came to the realization later in life. However, being an ally for so many years, Sophia said she’s “experienced so much safety, respect, and love in the queer community” now that she’s a member.

“I sort of hate the notion of having to come out in 2024. But I’m deeply aware that we are having this conversation in a year when we’re seeing the most aggressive attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community in modern history,” she continued. “There were more than 500 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills proposed in state legislatures in 2023, so for that reason I want to give the act of coming out the respect and honor it deserves.”

Does Ashlyn Harris Have Kids?

Ashlyn started a relationship with former USWNT teammate Ali Krieger in 2010. Their romance lasted 13 years, and by all accounts seemed to be happy during that time.

They were on December 28, 2019, in Miami with fellow soccer star Megan Rapinoe serving as Ashlyn’s maid of honor. Two years later, on Valentine’s Day 2021, the couple announced that they had adopted a daughter, Sloane. A year later, on August 16, 2022, they announced the adoption of their son, Ocean.

On September 19, 2023, Ashlyn filed for divorce, a move that was a complete shock to her partner for nearly 13 years.

“I found out at training,” Ali told Self Magazine in January 2024. “I was on the field. And I came off the field, in the locker room, and I was obviously devastated.”

The reason behind the divorce remains unknown, though many have speculated that it’s due to Ashlyn meeting Sophia.

This particular camera can only be found on the top-end model, but that doesn’t mean the Pura 70, 70 Pro, and 70 Pro+ aren’t set up to be fantastic smartphones in and of themselves. 

We’ve gathered all of the biggest differences between the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra and Huawei Pura 70 Pro into this guide based on what we heard at the China launch. 

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra has a faux leather design 

Visually, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra stands out next to the Pura 70 Pro thanks to its faux leather material and unique embossed diamond pattern. The Pura 70 Pro features a more subtle glass back. 

The two phones also come in two different sets of colours, with the Pura 70 Ultra available in black, white, green, and brown, and the Pura 70 Pro available in black, white, and purple finishes. 

Otherwise, the two phones share the same dimensions, similar weights, matching aluminium frames, and the same IP68 dust and waterproofing. 

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra features a retractable camera 

One of the standout features of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is its retractable 50-megapixel (f/1.6 – f/4.0) camera. 

The moving camera appears to make space for the large 1-inch sensor without creating an excessively bulky camera module. It has also been tested for a total of 300,000 retractions. 

The Pura 70 Ultra also takes advantage of a second 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 40-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera. Turn the phone over and you’ll find a 13-megapixel punch-hole camera at the top of the display for selfies and video calls. 

The Pura 70 Pro also includes three cameras led by a 50-megapixel (f/1.4 – f/4.0) non-retractable lens and followed by a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 12.5-inch ultra-wide angle camera. The phone features the same 13-megapixel selfie camera as the Ultra model. 

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra packs a bigger battery 

Moving on to the battery, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra takes advantage of a large 5200 mAh battery, along with support for 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. 

The Pura 70 Pro is fitted with a smaller 5050 mAh battery but takes advantage of the same fast 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging speeds. 

The Huawei Pura 70 Pro is much cheaper 

As you might expect, the retractable camera tech comes at a higher price. If you wanted to get your hands on the Pura 70 Ultra in China you’d need to spend at least CNY 9999, which works out at around £1104. 

The Pura 70 Pro, meanwhile, starts at CNY 7999. This equals about £883, making the Pro more than £200 cheaper if our estimates are correct. 

Of course, there’s no saying exactly how much these phones will cost if they enter the UK market but this might give us an idea of the price difference between the two models.

On Sunday, April 21, Blake Shelton spoke to Extra TV to admit that he has no official plans to return to his coaching role.

“I don’t ever plan on working at The Voice again,” he said.

However, he also has not ruled anything out. In fact, he offered a tease for what the future may bring.

“Who knows?” Blake Shelton then mused about a possible The Voice comeback. “That’s me sitting here as I say that right now.”

He fully admitted: “I can’t say I wouldn’t come by for a surprise appearance.”

A cameo comeback isn’t the same thing as a coaching position. He has positive memories of that high-paying gig, however.

“That show is the greatest and most important thing I’ve ever been a part of in my career,” he affirmed. “It changed my life.”

Not only did he introduce himself to new audience and rake in a colossal amount of money in the process, but he also met his wife on the show.

“When I left, I feel like I really left; we all love each other,” he emphasized of the team of coaches on The Voice. In other words, it was not a bitter parting.

So why did Blake Shelton leave ‘The Voice’ in the first place?

“I’ve done it for 23 seasons without missing a single season, you know?” Blake explained. “I know what you feel like, Pat Sajak!” Sajak hosted Wheel of Fortune for 41 years. Starting this autumn, the legendary Vanna White will co-host, unfortunately alongside Ryan Seacrest.

“Because that’s kind of how I was starting to feel,” Shelton admitted. “If you’re on back-to-back seasons, there’s really no time for any other thing, you know?”

He then reasoned: “If you didn’t want to have a family and a life that much you could do it, but something has to give. It was time for The Voice to be thing that gives.”

Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen, Kris Jenner, and Tracee Ellis Ross are just some of the celebs who have taken to Instagram to publicly thank Meghan for the fancy preserves (complete with hand-numbered label).

We’re sure Meg enjoys gifting swanky items to her famous friends — but generosity might not have been the main motivator here.

According to PR expert Nick Ede, Meghan was able to launch the equivalent of a multimillion-dollar ad campaign, and all it cost her was 50 jars of jam.

“Most campaigns in the modern era are accompanied by ‘influencer’ gifting, but I would suggest that Meghan Markle’s influencer network is slightly more grand than most,” Ede explained to the Mail this week.

“Her little black book of celebrity contacts will be the thing of PR dreams, and so her first product launch was always going to be a huge media success,” he added.

“The true test will come with her follow up products and keeping people interested in what she is doing.”

Meghan’s Jam Strategy

Thus far, Meghan’s efforts seem to be paying off.

Only eight of the 50 jam recipients have been identified, and the situation has created excitement on social media, as Meghan fans guess at who else may have scored a jar.

“The key to success is to try and keep the story running for as long as possible,” says Ede.

“Get the news of the launch out there, tick, then keep drip-feeding more information every few days in order to keep people interested.”
