The dark anime series with John Wick vibes is closing out its first installment.

I mentioned in a thread a few weeks ago I had acquired a Mediasonic HFR2-SU3S2 PRORAID 4-bay external enclosure, and was dismayed at the performance (2.5MB/s over USB3, 5MB/s over eSATA) with a RAID-5 configuration.

There was mention that RAID-5 has significant overhead over other types of RAID. Someone suggested to try RAID-10. I'm "losing" an additional drive worth of space (compared to RAID-5), but with RAID-10, as I'm writing this, performance is currently holding steady at ~100+ MB/s (vs 5, at best).

It blows my mind that performance would be that much different. There's overhead, and then there's 20x slower throughput. The system is otherwise identical - same drives, same enclosure, same cables, same system it's connected to.

This is with full-disk VeraCrypt encryption. Without encryption, RAID-10 showed spikes of up to 160MB/s (but generally holding steady at 120-130MB/s). I'm okay with that.

If there's something else to blame, I'm not seeing it. But right now, I have little choice but to say RAID-5 is a killer when it comes to write operations. Again, I knew you don't get any of that for free, there's some overhead, but I never expected it to reach that level.

If I've reached the wrong conclusion, then I'm wrong. I just see nothing else to blame right now.

And I'm a much happier camper. This is usable.

Well, sadly, there’s been no official announcement thus far.

But it seems that those who know Bradley and Gigi best are hoping that there’s big news on the horizon!

Despite widespread rumors to the contrary, it appears that Bradley and Gigi are not currently engaged.

But insiders that may soon change, as the A-listers are blissfully happy together, and both of their families approve of the relationship.

“Everything is going well with Gigi and Bradley and they’re really happy in their relationship,” a source close to the situation tells Entertainment Tonight.

“Their friends and family would love to see them get engaged soon, but also know that they are on their own path and timeline,” the insider adds.

“Communication has always been key between the two of them, and they are both open and honest with each other about their future.”

The source goes on to say that Bradley and Gigi share similar goals for the future, which they discuss often.

“They are also both dedicated when it comes to their work commitments and projects, loved ones, and parenthood. They have similar goals, which makes it very easy for them to connect,” says the insider.

Those remarks echo earlier comments from a different source who told ET that Bradley and Gigi’s relationship is “serious.”

“They have already spoken about their future together and next steps,” the insider said in February.

“They are great at communicating with each other in a healthy, open, and honest way. They are excited about moving forward.”

Of course, Bradley and Gigi are both parents, and they may be cautious about upsetting their kids’ stability by moving too quickly.

Bradley has a daughter from a previous relationship with model Irina Shayk.

And Gigi has a daughter from her high-profile romance with Zayn Malik.

We’re sure that the kids enter every decision that Bradley and Gigi make, both individually and as a couple.

But while their parental status might complicate certain aspects of their lives, both partners likely find it easier to date someone with a child of their own, who therefore understands those complexities.

Regardless of whether or nor Bradley and Gigi are planning a wedding, it sounds as though these two are both in it for the long haul.

Disgraced criminal Josh Duggar remains in prison, where he receives occasional visits from some family members.

Josh has also gotten into trouble for contraband. As a person and as a prisoner, Josh is the furthest thing from being a model citizen.

It’s likely that Josh is having a miserable time in prison. Amy hopes that it gets worse for him.

Josh Duggar is in prison

In April of 2021, following the 2020 Homeland Security raid on his place of business, authorities arrested Josh Duggar for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse materials (CSAM).

During his trial late that year, the court heard gruesome details of the photos and video that he obtained. Josh was so caught up in hiding his twisted interests from his wife and the rest of his family that he seemingly forgot that what he was doing was illegal.

The court convicted Josh on December 9 of 2021. On May 25 of 2022, Josh received a nearly 13-year prison sentence. His attempts to appeal his case have, if anything, backfired. As it stands, he will remain behind bars until October of 2032.

Amy Duggar isn’t attending Josh’s pity party

“I hope every day there is absolute torture for him,” Amy Rachelle King, better known as Amy Duggar, told People regarding Josh Duggar’s ongoing prison sentence.

“I really hope that,” she then explained, “because what he watched and what he was viewing for his own fulfillment is those kids experiencing torture.”

Amy, who is also a mother, affirmed: “He deserves every second in there, and I hope he gets a longer term. I hope he messes up again.”

It sounds like — and please keep in mind that we have followed the trial closely but are not experts in criminal investigations — Josh downloaded a torrent file (that is, a collection of tiny files that he obtained via peer-to-peer software and then reassembled; many programs update using this usually innocuous technology).

This file apparently contained numerous images and videos, and while it’s unclear which piqued Josh’s interest and which files he fully downloaded, at least some parts of the collection were the work of Australian murderer and rapist Peter Scully.

Scully’s unspeakable crimes targeted teen girls and little girls, and victims as young as 18 months. Even if Josh’s interests were more likely in less violent media featuring older prepubescent victims, those were still very young girls whose lives were being ruined. That is why Amy hopes that he suffers.

In addition to her obvious sympathy for the children in the CSAM that Josh pursued and acquired, Josh molested multiple young girls when he was a teenager. That included four of his own sisters — meaning that they were Amy’s cousins.

Josh felt protected then. He went on to cheat on his wife and download CSAM. Because Josh has never seemed genuinely interested in atoning or getting better, Amy said that she doesn’t “know if he’s doing any work” to become a decent person in prison.

“I have not spoken to him, and I will not. I will not,” Amy affirmed. “When you just cross those evil lines like that, there is no coming back. I just think there’s no coming back.”

For some awful reason, Anna remains married to Josh Duggar despite his numerous crimes and his personal betrayals.

Anna’s continued misplaced loyalty in the monster that she married makes things beyond awkward. Amy did run into Anna at a funeral in 2023, but that was it.

“That was the last time. I wasn’t really expecting to see anyone there, and I was shocked to see her,” Amy recalled of the encounter. “I just looked at her and I said, ‘Anna,’ and she was like, ‘I just need space.’ That’s all she said to me.”

“I understand, I can’t speak for Anna and I’m not going to try,” Amy affirmed.

“But I can’t imagine what she has to deal with internally, let alone out for the world to see,” she acknowledged.

“It was a ceremony, a viewing actually, at a funeral, and yeah. It wasn’t the right timing,” Amy admitted. “And I didn’t want to make a scene.”

The Duggar cousin continued: “And I didn’t want to do that or draw attention to anything and clearly respect her so I didn’t. But if you ask me, I think she is mad. I do. I think she’s just really, really mad.”

Donna confirmed this trip by saying Travis sent her a photo from the picturesque vacation area.

The elder Kelce shared the anecdote because Bradley was also at the QVC summit.

The pair even crossed paths at Bradley’s Danny and Coops Philly Cheesesteak food truck … where Donna told the actor: “Trav told me you were going to be here.”

A lovely video of the exchange has been making the rounds on Twitter and TikTok.

Swift, of course, has been close with Hadid for many years.

The 29-year-old model, who went out with Swift last month, said she was “over the moon” for her pal’s romance with Kelce in November.

As for Travis and Swift, they have traveled together a lot of late, in between the latter’s Eras Tour stops.

“They vacationed in the Bahamas for several days,” a source told People Magazine this spring. “It was a much-needed break for both of them. They very much enjoyed it. They are so happy together.”

Looking ahead, Swift and Kelce will not be at the upcoming MET Gala.

We’d have to imagine they want a bit of time to themselves over the next few weeks because Swift is set to perform in Paris on May 9.

She will then remain overseas as part of her record-setting tour until August, and then the NFL season will begin shortly after that.

“It’s all so fresh I’m not sure what I even want,” Tori acknowledged. With her date of separation from Dean McDermott being June 17 of 2023, her last time dating was in the era of AIM, flip phones, and color-coded terror alert levels.

In Tori’s mind, fame — with or without financial or professional success — can end up being “emasculating” to men. Tori seemed to hold the attitude that she should shy away from this, but Shannen disagreed.

“That’s what I want. I want a man who’s proud to be with me and he wouldn’t cheat, wouldn’t lie, because he’s so scared of losing me,” Shannen expressed. “But also a man that’s really proud of my success and what I’ve accomplished.”

They did so by incorporating an annoying “Krissed” meme, which means the footage featured a look at Zendaya’s — phony!!!! — ultrasound… and then cut to a video of Kris Jenner dancing to “Lady Marmalade,” a pranking trend known as getting, yes, “”Krissed.”

Hmm, maybe TikTok should be banned? (Kidding! Kidding! Don’t come for us!)

Despite being in the middle of filming her tennis epic, the pregnancy rumors reached the desk of Zendaya and shockingly, she responded.

Despite the aforementioned TikTok videos concluding with an admission that the Zendaya pregnancy rumors were complete BS, plenty of Zendaya’s fans heard the news secondhand and believed the story to be true.

Hence, the superstar’s need to clear things up.

“See now, this is why I stay off Twitter,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on June 15, 2022. “Just making stuff up for no reason weekly.”

“Anyway back to filming…Challengers,” the actress added, citing the romantic drama she’d been shooting with The Crown‘s Josh O’Connor and West Side Story‘s Mike Faist.

Honestly Though – Who Believes This Crap?!

The thing about TikTok is that it’s invited a brand new generation of clickbait to circulate on the web. If one isn’t careful, one gets tricked into believing just about anything.

One of the aforementioned videos was shared by TikTok user @robairesbussy.

It includes a photoshopped snapshpt of Zendaya with a baby bump, walking with Holland, and the words, “WAIT SINCE WHEN WAS ZENDAYA PREGNANT.”

The caption notes the clip is a “#joke.” Not everyone read the caption, though.

Another TikTok video showed the poster pretending to gasp at the image of a sonogram of a fetus about 20 weeks old… superimposed on a screenshot of an actual Instagram post that Zendaya shared on January 30, which had contained a promo for Euphoria.

You can see where the confusion came in, right?

Zendaya had included the caption, “I love you. Halfway there [heart emoji].”

But the TikTok user edited it to look like she tagged Holland, Zendaya’s Spider-Man co-star; and it also included a text box with the words, “There’s no way.”

At the end of the clip, a dancing Kris Jenner appear, along with the text, “YOU JUST GOT KRISSED…SEND THIS TO YOUR FRIENDS TO #KRIS THEM!”

After they denied rumors that their friendship was anything romantic for years, the celebrities were spotted kissing in July 2021.
